A fibre rich diet has a wide range of health benefits but according to the UK’s National Health Service (NHS) many people just don’t get enough.
Whilst the NHS recommend 30g daily, most are consuming less than 18g, and in many cases this intake comes from “added fibre” products, rather than natural whole foods.
Dietary Fibre Complex features 10 concentrated whole food extracts, to provide an additional natural source of soluble and insoluble dietary fibre in practical capsule format.
What is in our Dietary Fibre Complex?
We have taken some of the best natural sources of soluble and insoluble dietary fibre and through the process of dehydration combined them to create a practical daily supplement.
Lets look at our ingredients lineup:
Psyllium husks and seeds
Psyllium is a water soluble fibre, which can absorb as much as 20 times its own weight turning into a gel once ingested.
Flaxseed is a source of Omega 3 fatty acids, and lignans, a polyphenol which may have protective benefits.
Fenugreek is one of the oldest cultivated medicinal plants native to southern Europe and Asia and has been used for thousands of years in Ayurvedic medicine. Fenugreek is a source of soluble dietary fibre.
Apples are rich in Pectin, a natural fibre which turns into a gel in contact with water.
Rhubarb stalks and rhubarb root have been used for centuries in traditional Chinese medicine. Rhubarb is a source of anthraquinone, emodin, tannins, flavonoids, and polyphenols.
Fennel seed powder:
Fennel seed has historically been used as a digestive aid because of its carminative, antispasmodic, anti microbial and anti-inflammatory properties.
Prune juice extract:
Prunes contain sorbitol which may have mild laxative properties, as well as antioxidants and dietary fibre.
Broccoli is a cruciferous vegetable packed with over 17 health boosting nutrients and dietary fibre.
Carrots are rich in Beta Carotene, and dietary fibre as well as vitamin A, Vitamin C, Vitamin K, vitamin B8, pantothenic acid, folate, potassium, iron, copper, and manganese.
